VemoHerb Zyme: Specially selected Herbal extracts and Enzymes

Enzymes are widely used in mixed feed as additives. Until now, the enzymes xylanase, glucanase, and phytase have been well-established as broiler feed additives. Mannanase is another enzyme that is applied to maize, soybean, and other varieties of bean-based feed, and has been shown to help animals reduce their feed conversion ratio.

In addition to feed enzymes, probiotics, prebiotics, and herbal extracts can be used as feed additives. Many Asians and Americans have been studying them in recent years. Efficiency of feed intake and accumulation of digestive secretions, immune enhancement, antibacterial, coccidiostat, or anti-inflammatory action, especially - antioxidant properties are all possible benefits of herbal extracts supplemented to animals. Following the prohibition of antibiotics in commercial animal processing, more and more herbal extracts are being used as feed additives to improve growth conditions.

Soybean meal is the best plant-based protein substitute in broiler feed, and as a result, it is also the most researched. However, soybean meal is deficient in some amino acids and contains antinutritional compounds. Soybean meal includes galactosides, which monogastric animals cannot digest due to the lack of the enzyme galactosidase. Furthermore, it contains mannans, which are highly viscous and anti-nutritional. It has been proven that mannans reduce the digestibility of nutrients in broiler feed.

β -mannans are one of the most common anti-nutrient components in plant-based raw materials used in poultry feed. The presence of β-mannans in poultry feed has a number of negative implications, including high intestinal viscosity and poor nutritional digestibility, as well as negative effects on innate immunity and microbial proliferation in the intestines. The use of exogenous enzymes to increase oligosaccharide digestibility has shown positive effects and is now standard practice in poultry farming.

VemoHerb® Zyme is a novel feed premix for swine and poultry that contains an active complex of carefully chosen herbal extracts and enzymes that are lacking in the animal's digestive tract. VemoHerb® Zyme uses the best of both worlds – enzymes and biologically active herbal extracts – to give you all you need in one perfect package.

Few of the advantages of using enzymes are:

  • Improved feed digestion
  • Higher protein, amino acid, starch, and lipid consumption rates
  • Improved manufacturing efficiency and a healthier world

Herbal extracts have a number of benefits, including:

  • Antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties
  • Growth promoting effects
  • They do not induce microbial tolerance
  • They are perfectly safe and natural

VemoHerb® Zyme combines biologically active compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, sterols, tannins, polyphenols,  and with enzymes such as mannanase, xylanase, glucanase, cellulase, protease, amylase, lipase, and galactosidase.

VemoHerb® Zyme properties include:

  • Improved feed digestibility, energy content, and nutrient assimilation
  • Strengthened immune system and enhanced overall health of the animals
  • Increased rate of animal development, thereby lowered cost of animal processing

Considering the need for scientific research, VemoHerb® Zyme was tested as an additive to combined feed for ducks, broilers and pigs, which were showing only positive effects on the animals.
